Geotextiles are fabrics, plastics and materials used in construction to give better stability to ground constructed projects.  They are also used to separate layers of soil, aggregate, or other types of material.  For excavation purposes they are mainly used in road, trail systems, septic system, filtration, environmental and earth lining construction. For example Many roads are built across wet areas that require layers of geo textile matting to give the road strength.  They are also used in trail systems and are put down over existing natural ground cover and aggregate is compacted on top of it, therefore not disturbing the ground and maintaining environmental impact, while at the same time producing a trail that is strong and long lasting.  Geotextile is also used in septic systems to keep different types of soils and materials within the septic field separated.  They are also used as Environmental barriers to keep silt and unwanted materials from contaminating a body of water.  Land fills use them to line the earth to act as a barrier between the waste and the earth, to contain contaminants and gasses. Coconut fibre is used for landscaping applications to hold soil and planted items in place on sloped surfaces, and to stop erosion.  If you require any of these geotextiles don’t hesitate to call us !
